A wedding with Olivia Rae Photography, September of 2022 . I had been busy that this wedding gallery had been on the backburner. What had happened is that I got carried away with the wife/mom routine, and my ultra running training took over and I completely forgot to share the vast amount of admiration during this wedding of this two beautiful brides. It was joyful event, 2 brides having the moment of their life at their beautiful put together wedding. I cried, because how can I as a photographer hold back on my emotions while witnessing and capturing such a sweet and beautiful wedding like this?

Neatless to say, I was nervious when I first pulled up the driveway, not because there was people, not because it was a wedding, but because it was my first time taking over a 4 hour wedding on my own. As soon as I got there I was briefed by Olivia on the timeline, and details, and I was set to embark this gig solo, haha. We worked toghether for 30 minutes then, Olivia left and I was on my own, like a toddler learning to navigate through the playground full of kids.

The first hour after the ceremony was to focus in capturing candid photos of the guests, as well as group photos. As a photographer, it's important to utilize your time wisely, so while brides are mingling and visiting with all of their guests, It the perfect time and the opportunity to capture great photos. This was great because this provides a variety of candid and fun group photos to the brides wedding gallery.

Toasts time, daugther and father dance came around, I had the opportunity to capture even more many great photos of the brides dancing with their fathers and the brides dancing togehter, it was a unforgetable moment. I also captured the guests smiling, cheering on the newly weds. During the reception, I only took a few photos, honestly I think it's unpolite to photograph guests and newly weds eating, so instead I took a break and ate. Cake cutting came along, oh that was so much fun, and adorable, this is a great opportunity to capture funny and cute photos of the newly weds reaction as they cut the cake and share a slice of cake to eachother, oh those pictures were epic.

You are probably wondering if I stayed for the rest of the party, yes, I sured did tag along. I made sure that my equipment and camera settings were set to go for low light and night photos. And boy, I had so much fun, I was thrilled to see guests enjoy the party and they were dancing away with the brides.

Let me tell you that every second of this experience stregthen my love for wedding photography. And I am forever grateful for the opportinity I had with Olivia Rae as her 2nd/Associate wedding shooter.
